Taekwondo and T-ball

In February and March Justin participated in after-school enrichment classes once a week. He chose to sign up for a Taekwondo class. The Saturday after the class ended we went to the Taekwondo center for a "graduation" ceremony where the kids got to show us what they learned.
 



















After the class demonstration each child had the opportunity to break a board. This was something they had not done in class, so it was their first try at it. Here is a video of Justin's turn:



After that the teachers gave a demonstration of their own, which was fun to watch. Unfortunately I only got a little piece of that on video, but here it is:




That was a busy Saturday for the McNeel household, because earlier that day Justin had an indoor clinic which served as the first practice for T-ball with Chesterfield Little League. Justin is playing T-ball for the first time this spring.

 

 

Justin has been having practices since then twice a week. Well, sort of. One was snowed out, one was canceled for cold, and today's was rained out. So, more like once a week in reality. Games start in a week.
