When it was time for a break from walking around the aquarium we went to an "Under the Sea 3D" IMAX show.
After the movie we finished up what was left of the Bay and Ocean Pavilion. They have a pretty interesting way of viewing the komodo dragons:
Pretty tunnel:
Reading corner. Can you tell Justin was starting to drag?
When we were done all the remaining exhibits in the first building, our energy was restored by a stop for lunch . After that we took a nice walk along the nature trail that connects the two aquarium buildings. There were several things to see along the way, including this bird's nest. We think it was meant to be a model of an osprey nest, but we can't remember for sure.
Justin laid an egg--see?
There was also an observation tower we climbed to get a nice view of the marsh.
The smaller aquarium building is called the Marsh Pavilion.
Highlight of the Marsh Pavilion: River otters!
Justin, Audrey, and Tim get up close and personal with a blue crab.
The aquarium was one of the highlights of the whole trip. We really enjoyed it. Here are a few more pictures of pool time back at the beach house that afternoon.
Sam interested in Tim's teeth:
