We were very excited this past weekend to get our second major snowstorm of this winter. Tim and I saw almost no snow at all for the first three winters we lived in Richmond, and now we have had three significant storms in recent history: one on March 1st last year (
see post here), one shortly before Christmas (
see post here), and now this one. This storm was the biggest of the three, leaving us with about 10 inches of snow.
Tim's parents arrived on Friday to get snowed in with us. We all ventured out for a little while right after lunch on Saturday, while the snow was still coming down steadily.

Justin could hardly walk in so much snow, but had fun throwing it around nonetheless.

After a little while it was time to take Justin inside for his afternoon nap. He was not happy about going inside at all! I had to drag him in. A few minutes later, as I was getting him ready to go in his crib, he was looking at me with tired, red eyes and saying sleepily, "outside... outside... outside..." No question--Justin loves snow!
Tim's parents were able to leave as planned on Sunday morning, and after they left the three of us set out for a snowy walk down to the reservoir with Justin in the backpack. When we got back to our yard we let Justin play a little before going inside for lunch.

Here he is tasting the snow.

Happy boy in the snow!

A video to come soon in another post...
