We had lunch at Chipotle and then both Justin and I had a nap in the afternoon while Patty did some work. When Audrey got home from school we went back out to the backyard. In addition to a revival of the grass pulling game, Justin also got some catching practice. He's got his eye on the ball!
Back inside hanging out before dinner.

After dinner we all went to Audrey's softball practice. She plays for the Wild Ponies. Patty is the team's assistant coach. Here is Audrey racing a teammate from third to home during practice.
Justin had a great time at practice. First of all, Patty gave him a softball to play with, and there was a 3-year-old girl there who would run and fetch the ball every time Justin threw it and bring it back to him. He loved that! And, as if that wasn't enough, there were a bunch of "diggers" right beside the field. I tried to take Justin's picture in front of one, but he just kept turning around to look at it.
For the most part the diggers just sat there, but in the middle of practice a dump truck drove up and dumped out a load of dirt right behind us. That was a very exciting event! Here is Audrey practicing at bat.
Justin and I left practice a little early so that we could get back for bedtime. One more post to come later about our trip...
