Justin's Birthday: Part 1 of 2

Once again we have an event with too many pictures for one post, but I think I can manage this one with just two posts rather than eight!

On the Saturday before Justin's birthday we had a party for him. In attendance were his grandparents, four kids about his age with their moms or mom and dad, and our babysitter Melissa with her two older kids. These are all people we met through the MOMS Club (other than the grandparents, of course!).

We had planned a sidewalk chalk and bubble party, but it turned out to be the middle of a heat wave, so we added a couple baby pools and a sprinkler to keep the kids cooler. Justin got the party started even before anyone else had arrived:

Linnaea, our youngest guest at 18 months, was the first to arrive, so we got the bubbles going.

Next on the scene was Gracie:

This is our babysitter, Melissa, and her kids Gia and Tessa:

Justin was cautious about the sprinkler at first, hanging out for a while at the edge of the spray:

Getting braver:

Once he got used to it, he loved it!

All wet!

How many kids can you fit in one little baby pool?

That was it for the outdoor festivities. Once the heat got to be too much we all headed inside. Pictures from the second half of the party to come soon...
