There are usually a few more kids, but on this occasion there were only three playing. Look how tiny my boy looks up there! Believe it or not he started doing this back when he was only two years old.
You can see here how the music director uses a numbering system with the kids instead of the music sheets with notes that the adult bell-ringers follow:
Here is a short video. This was taken right at the beginning of rehearsal, before the third boy arrived, so the poor older boy here had to manage six chimes at once, while Justin only played one.
He might still only be able to handle one chime, but he's a lot better with that one now than he was as a two-year-old, when someone would have to crouch beside him and say "play it now" about five times before he'd ring his chime! :)
