a day on a farm

We spent the day at Lloyd Family Farms for their fall activities.   It was pleasantly uncrowded, surprisingly so for a beautiful fall day on the last weekend before Halloween.

We started out at the hay maze:

 Then we moved up to the corn maze:

Then a hayride:

We ate lunch near a big hay pile:

Then we got to pet the goats:

The boys really enjoyed their pony rides:

The caged animals seemed well-treated and happy:

Next was ice cream by the hay pile:

We picked a couple of pumpkins, then stopped by the hay maze again on the way out.  By that time, many of the bales had fallen down into the paths, so it was more of a hay obstacle course and jungle gym than a maze, but the boys enjoyed it at least as much as they did the first time.
