Justin wanted to climb like his dad:
We discovered a butterfly in the picnic area near the playground.
Justin had fun chasing it around. I'm about 90% sure that what he's saying in this video is "there's her" (as in, "there she is"), in case you couldn't tell.

We also saw some big ant mounds.
One of the attractions at Lost River is the Lee Cabin, built by "Light Horse" Harry Lee, an officer in the Revolutionary War and the father of Robert E. Lee. (That's "Nick the Naturalist" on the porch.)
That evening we went to a parade in the small town near the park. Here we are waiting for it to start.
Here come the fire trucks!
All the vehicles, floats, etc. in this parade throw candy to the spectators, so we all ended up with a lot of loot. Justin, who has never been much into waving, started waving at the fire trucks, and hardly stopped waving for the whole parade.
One of the trucks threw popsicles to us!

Marie, it is a Santa Clause head. At least two little kids in the swimming pool at Lost River thought he (my father-in-law) was Santa Clause!
And please overlook my misspelling of Santa Claus.
I always knew he was Santa!
