Lost River: post 5

On Friday morning six of us took a hike up to the Cranny Crow overlook. It's a challenging uphill hike, and takes you to the best view in the park.

Part way up there is a shelter that is a good place for a rest and snack. Here are all the ladies who went on the hike taking a break.


While not as dramatic as the top, there was a nice view at the shelter, too.


Here is Tim's Dad consulting a tree book as we were about to set out hiking again from the shelter. We stopped along the way to identify several trees near the trail.


And we made all to the top! Here is the view from the Cranny Crow overlook.


We set up the camera with its timer our mini tripod so we could get a picture of all the hikers with the view.




In addition to a great view, there was also cell service up there, which we could not get in the park. Patty got to check her messages.
